1. Introduction
Knowing Your Numbers University LLC (“KYNU,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the privacy of individuals who visit our website, contact us, register for communications, or inquire about our services and training opportunities.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use and maintain that information, and how individuals may contact KYNU regarding their personal information.
Our website address is https://knowingyournumbersuniversity.com.
2. Information We Collect
KYNU collects information that individuals voluntarily provide when contacting us, completing an inquiry form, or registering for communications. The information requested depends on the purpose of the interaction.
Depending on the form or inquiry, we may collect:
- Contact information: Name, email address, telephone number, and organization or company name.
- Professional and organizational information: Role or title and organization type.
- Training and service interests: Inquiry category, topics of interest, questions, requested services, and preferred training timeframe.
- Engagement information: Details about proposed training, speaking engagements, workshops, participant needs, scheduling, and anticipated investment ranges when requested by the applicable form.
- Additional information: Other details an individual chooses to provide in an inquiry or message.
Not every form requests all of this information. KYNU uses the information relevant to the particular inquiry or interaction.
3. How We Use Information
KYNU uses information submitted through its website to:
- Respond to questions and requests for information.
- Review training, speaking, workshop, and consulting inquiries.
- Identify services and learning opportunities relevant to an individual's needs.
- Communicate with prospective clients about potential engagements.
- Prepare for follow-up discussions and develop proposals, when appropriate.
- Maintain records of inquiries and related communications.
- Support website administration and legitimate business operations.
Information submitted through an inquiry form is used to address the inquiry and related communications.
4. Training Inquiry Forms
KYNU provides inquiry options for General Training, Private Training, and Speaking & Workshops. The information requested depends on the type of training or engagement being considered.
General Training inquiries request basic contact information, training interests, and a description of the assistance needed.
Private Training and Speaking & Workshops inquiries may request additional information, such as organizational needs, anticipated participants, event details, scheduling preferences, and an anticipated investment range.
Investment information helps KYNU understand the resources available for a potential engagement and explore appropriate options. Providing an investment range does not establish a fee, create a contract, or obligate either party to proceed.
KYNU uses Gravity Forms to collect and manage training inquiries. Submitted information is stored in the website's WordPress database and may also be included in email notifications sent to authorized KYNU personnel.
5. Email Communications and Marketing
KYNU uses contact information submitted through an inquiry form to respond to the inquiry and communicate about related training or service opportunities.
KYNU also offers a separate opportunity to subscribe to newsletters, training announcements, educational resources, and other communications.
Submitting a training or service inquiry does not automatically subscribe an individual to KYNU's marketing emails.
KYNU uses Constant Contact to manage its email-marketing communications. Visitors who choose to subscribe may receive communications associated with their subscription.
The collection of information for an inquiry is separate from an individual's decision to receive marketing communications.
6. Storage and Access
KYNU uses Gravity Forms to collect and manage training inquiries submitted through its website. Form entries are stored in the website's WordPress database.
Authorized KYNU personnel may review submitted information through the WordPress administration area. Inquiry information may also be included in notification emails delivered to KYNU's designated email inbox.
Website backups and other operational systems may contain copies of submitted information. These copies may be maintained under separate backup and record-management procedures.
KYNU uses website-hosting and technology service providers to support website operations and related services. Additional information about relevant service providers is addressed in Section 9.
7. Retention of Training Inquiry Records
KYNU maintains a record-retention process that distinguishes between general inquiries and inquiries that develop into client engagements.
Inquiries that do not become engagements: KYNU retains inquiry records for 12 months after the last meaningful contact. After that period, records are reviewed and deleted when they are no longer needed, subject to applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Inquiries that become client engagements: Relevant information may be transferred into the appropriate client engagement records and maintained according to a separate client-record retention schedule and applicable requirements.
KYNU conducts quarterly reviews of inquiry records to identify information that remains necessary, inquiries requiring continued follow-up, and records eligible for deletion.
The General Training Inquiry form is currently configured to retain entries until they are manually reviewed. Automatic deletion is not enabled because KYNU's approved retention standard is based on the date of last meaningful contact and the status of an inquiry.
Information contained in notification emails, backups, or other systems may require separate review and deletion procedures.
8. IP Addresses and Technical Information
KYNU has configured its General Training Inquiry form to prevent Gravity Forms from storing a visitor's IP address in the submitted form entry.
This setting applies to that form's entry records. It does not necessarily prevent website-hosting services, security systems, or other website technologies from processing technical information during normal website operations.
Additional technical information may be processed by website systems depending on the services and features in use.
KYNU will review its website configuration to ensure that its descriptions of cookies, technical information, hosting services, and other data-processing activities accurately reflect its actual practices.
9. Service Providers and Information Sharing
KYNU uses third-party technology services to support its website, communications, and business operations.
These services include:
- Website hosting: Hostinger provides website-hosting services that support KYNU's WordPress website.
- Website forms: Gravity Forms provides the software KYNU uses to collect and manage training inquiries. Form submissions are stored in KYNU's WordPress database rather than automatically transmitted to Gravity Forms as an external form-hosting service.
- Email marketing: Constant Contact supports KYNU's newsletter subscriptions and other email-marketing communications.
- Website backups: KYNU uses Hostinger and UpdraftPlus to maintain website backups. Hostinger is configured for daily automated backups, while UpdraftPlus is used for manual backups.
Information submitted through KYNU's website may be processed by relevant service providers as necessary to operate the website, deliver communications, and support related services.
Training inquiry submissions are not automatically added to KYNU's Constant Contact mailing lists.
10. Accessing, Correcting, and Requesting Deletion of Information
Individuals may contact KYNU with questions about personal information they have submitted through the website or to request access, correction, or deletion.
KYNU may request information reasonably necessary to verify the identity of a person making a privacy request before providing access to or making changes to personal information.
Requests will be reviewed in light of applicable requirements and KYNU's legitimate recordkeeping needs. Certain information may need to be retained when required by law, necessary for an ongoing engagement, or otherwise permitted under applicable requirements.
To submit a privacy-related request, contact KYNU at:
Privacy Contact: privacy@knowingyournumbersuniversity.com.
KYNU will review the request and communicate with the individual regarding the appropriate next steps.
11. Information Security
KYNU recognizes the importance of protecting information submitted through its website and maintaining appropriate safeguards for its website and business records.
KYNU considers information security when managing website access, technology services, form submissions, email communications, and retained records.
No method of transmitting or storing information electronically can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Visitors should avoid submitting passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, or other highly sensitive information through general website inquiry forms.
12. Cookies and Other Website Features
KYNU's website uses WordPress and supporting website technologies. Cookies and similar technologies may be used as necessary to provide website functionality, maintain user preferences, support security, and operate website features.
Some website features or embedded content from third-party services may allow those providers to place or read cookies or otherwise process technical information when a visitor interacts with that content. The privacy practices of those third-party providers are governed by their respective policies.
KYNU may update this section if website features or technologies change in a way that materially affects the use of cookies or similar technologies.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
KYNU may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in its website, services, technology, information-handling practices, or applicable requirements.
When the policy is updated, KYNU will revise the effective date shown at the beginning of the document.
Visitors are encouraged to review this page periodically for information about KYNU's current privacy practices.
