Is This Service Right for You?

When Tax & Payroll Compliance Support May Be the Right Fit

Tax and payroll compliance support may be helpful when your organization is managing several filing responsibilities, preparing for year-end reporting, or working through items that need attention. This service may be a good fit when:

  • A business income-tax return needs professional preparation based on the organization’s financial records.
  • Your organization needs help organizing and completing recurring federal payroll tax filings.
  • State payroll withholding, unemployment, or other employer-reporting responsibilities require additional support.
  • Year-end W-2 or 1099 reporting needs to be prepared, reviewed, and submitted.
  • Payroll records, employee or contractor information, and supporting documentation are maintained in several places or need to be organized before filing.
  • Your organization wants a clearer understanding of what must be filed, what information is needed, and what comes next.

You do not have to wait until a filing deadline is approaching to strengthen the process. Support can begin with a current filing, upcoming year-end reporting, or responsibilities from an earlier period that still need attention.

This service may be appropriate for small businesses and other entities needing selected business income-tax preparation, as well as nonprofits, faith-based organizations, municipalities, and public-sector organizations needing payroll tax or information-reporting support.

The Value of Preparation

A Clearer Path From Preparation to Filing

Important filings become more manageable when the responsibilities, deadlines, and supporting information are identified early. An organized process helps reduce uncertainty and gives your organization a practical way to move from gathering information to completing the filing.

  • A Clear Starting Point. We identify the filings and reporting periods requiring attention and clarify what information is needed to begin the work.
  • An Organized Preparation Process. Financial records, payroll reports, employee information, vendor details, and other supporting documents are brought together in a structured way.
  • Earlier Attention to Questions. Missing information, differences, or other questions are identified as early as possible so they can be addressed before they cause unnecessary delays.
  • Better Continuity From One Filing to the Next. Completed filings and supporting information are kept organized, helping make future filing responsibilities more manageable.

An organized approach does not remove every question, but it creates a clearer process for resolving them and helps important filing responsibilities move forward with fewer avoidable delays.

Getting Started

From Initial Conversation to Filing Support

Getting started begins with a conversation about the filing responsibilities, reporting periods, deadlines, and information currently available.

01

Start With a Conversation

Tell us what needs to be filed, the reporting period involved, where the organization currently stands, and any known deadlines, notices, questions, or concerns. KYNU will listen, ask questions, and help identify the appropriate next step.

02

Confirm the Filing Support

We review the preliminary information to confirm the filings and reporting periods KYNU can support. We also clarify responsibilities, information needed, anticipated timing, and any matters that must be addressed before the work begins.

03

Begin the Filing Process

Once the support is confirmed and the necessary information is available, KYNU begins organizing, reviewing, and preparing the applicable filing. Questions, missing information, and items requiring attention are communicated as the work moves forward.

Important to Know

A Few Important Things to Know

Clear expectations help KYNU and your organization establish a practical and productive working relationship.

  • Services Are Defined in Advance. The agreed service plan identifies the specific filings, reporting periods, responsibilities, anticipated timing, and communication expectations included in the service.
  • Complete and Timely Information Is Essential. The anticipated filing timeline depends on KYNU receiving complete and accurate information with sufficient time for review and preparation. Missing, incomplete, or late information may affect when the work can be completed.
  • The Organization Retains Important Responsibilities. Your organization remains responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided, reviewing the completed return or report, making required decisions, signing applicable authorizations, and submitting any required payments.
  • Payroll Compliance Support Is Not Payroll Processing. Unless specifically included in the agreed service, payroll compliance support does not include calculating payroll, issuing paychecks or direct deposits, maintaining employee time records, or administering employee benefits.
  • Prior Periods, Corrections, and Notices Are Reviewed Separately. Late or missing filings, amended returns, corrected reports, tax-agency notices, and other prior-period matters may require additional review before KYNU can determine the appropriate support.
  • Filing Requirements May Vary. Business tax and payroll filing requirements may differ based on the organization’s structure, activities, employees or contractors, filing jurisdiction, and reporting period. KYNU will clarify the filings it can support and identify when another professional or service provider may be needed.
